Veritas Literary Magazine
Veritas: Oak Park High School’s Literary Magazine
On Sale at the Student Store Now!
Veritas is Latin for TRUTH.
It's also the name of Oak Park High's literary magazine, the only publication on campus that allows students the chance to formally share their creative writing with a wider audience. For our student curation team, the Literary Arts Club, fiction is not mutually exclusive with truth. Instead, fiction writing is an alternative, limitless window into the realities of the human condition.
This is your formal invitation: the Literary Arts Club believes you have a unique story to tell that will grant our community new ways to understand old truths.
Consider joining the club and submitting original work during the next application cycle. Or, support the literary arts at OPHS by buying the most recent edition of Veritas from the Student Store for a mere $5.
The annual literary magazine features dozens of stories and poems from student writers on campus, culled from a highly competitive number of entries and representing vibrant, surprising, and imperative campus voices. The Literary Arts Club uses the proceeds to continue to provide a publication for student expression and reflection year after year. All editions are only available in print to preserve the exclusivity of the students' work.
